Effective Barrage Noise Jamming for Spotlight SAR using Extended Kalman Filter-based Kinematic Parameter Estimation

A barrage noise jamming method for spotlight synthetic aperture radar (SAR) with kinematic parameter estimation (KPE) using extended Kalman filter (EKF) is newly proposed. The main objective of the proposed real-time generation signals to create noise-like blankets arbitrary locations and shapes in SAR images. Achieving allows concentrating all power within patches specific desired shapes, which enables more effective compared existing methods. We derived model produce image. also specified parameters required compute model, estimate them EKF. Finally, we designed algorithm models generate signals. feasibility implementation verified through complexity analysis. Since does not require prior knowledge about platform motion, it applicable only spaceborne but airborne SAR. simulation results demonstrate that shows robust performance, outperforms conventional due relatively high processing gain.
